Adulthood is generally where most dental work will be done. At this point, our teeth have been exposed to all sorts of harmful bacteria, foods and acids. Some of us have put off needed dental work, or some of the dental work we’ve had done as children has begun to fail. Periodontal disease begins to show itself, and teeth we haven’t taken care of may start to bother or hurt us. Fillings, crowns, root canals, implants, bridges, and even dentures may be needed at this point.
